Dr. Alexie Puran is the new Associate Director of Pediatrics at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. He completed his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, his internship and residency in the Department of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, and his Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
He is in the process of completing graduate level medical education fellowship courses in epidemiology, biostatistics, research design and ethics while completing his master’s degree in medical management at the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York.
Dr. Puran has received numerous awards including the Regan Fellowship for Operation Smile and an Advocacy Scholarship from the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Emergency Medicine. He holds professional society memberships with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
