I am pleased to welcome Anjna N. Ganatra, MD as Chief of Ambulatory Care Services at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. As a member of the senior leadership team, Dr. Ganatra will oversee all clinical and operational aspects of outpatient ambulatory care in conjunction with the administrative and nursing leadership. Dr. Ganatra will represent Metropolitan at the system-wide Ambulatory Care Leadership Council, focusing on chronic disease management, as well as on our work related to Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Accountable Care Organization (ACO), DSRIP, Hospital Wide Committees and Ambulatory Care Finance.
Dr. Ganatra previously served as the Regional Medical Director for Advantage Care Physicians in NYC. She is board certified in Family Medicine having trained at SUNY Buffalo. Dr. Ganatra will continue to serve our patients in our Family Medicine service.
I am also pleased to announce the appointment of Anitha Srinivasan, MD, MPH as the new Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Metropolitan. Dr. Srinivasan is currently the Director of the Breast Health Center at Metropolitan and has served as the hospital’s Chief Experience Officer since 2017. She has been a member of the Department of Surgery since 2002 and is the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in Surgery at New York Medical College School of Medicine.
In her new role, Dr. Srinivasan will assist the Chief Medical Officer with a wide range of medical staff initiatives that parallel the system’s quality and outcome initiatives, including Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement Capacity Building and Training, System-wide Performance Improvement, Risk Management, Continuing Professional Education, Accreditation, and Regulatory and Value. As Deputy CMO, she will play a significant role in overseeing the NYC Health + Hospitals five strategic pillars: access to care, quality & outcome, culture of safety, financial sustainability, and care experience.
