Dr. Balvindar S. Sareen, MD, MBA, FACHE, has been appointed as Chief Medical Officer at HHC NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. Having received his medical degree from the University of Delhi’s Maulana Azad Medical College, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. In addition, he holds a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business

Dr. Sareen is not only board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Palliative Care and Hospice Medicine, he is also board certified by the American Board of Managed Care Medicine in Managed Care Medicine, Medical Quality and Healthcare Quality Management. He has subspecialty certifications in Patient Safety, Risk Management and Case Management.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sareen oversees all medical staff and medical affairs for Lincoln Medical. Annually, Lincoln Medical provides services for more than 425,000 outpatient clinic visits, 10,000 ambulatory surgery procedures, 165,000 emergency department visits and 25,000 inpatients.

Dr. Sareen has held hospital appointments and leadership roles at hospitals across the country. Prior to joining Lincoln Medical, Dr. Sareen was the Vice President and Regional Chief medical Officer of Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
