Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Residency Program Coordinator to the group at Metropolitan Hospital Center. The Hospital is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Metropolitan Hospital Center accommodates over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.

Responsibilities

We are hiring for a full time residency program coordinator for the Anesthesia department at Metropolitan.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Privacy and Security rules outlined in the HIPAA guideline.
  • Successfully completes the mandatory three-day HHC orientation
  • Adheres and conforms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative and operational support for the Residency Program including the Chairman.
  • Schedules Residency Program orientation including set up for New Innovations
  • Coordinate the recruitment of new residents and manage the residency application process
  • Distribute lecture schedules, case conference and journal club assignments, etc. to residents and faculty
  • Administer resident schedule, documents for their evaluations, orals, all evaluations, attendance records etc.
  • Assist GME office with onboarding for all new incoming residents
  • Obtain necessary materials, supplies and pick up orders as needed
  • Process reimbursements for the residents
  • Coordinate luncheons for all resident meetings
  • Compose letters for residents, and recommendation letter for the Physicians
  • Schedule all new applicants’ interviews, transcribe all resident files, sending out emails
  • Management of a wide range of the department/ administrative confidential documents for post graduate medical education training programs

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Computer Literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
