Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking Regional Medical Directors to lead the Gotham Health Network for NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest public health care system in the country.  Opportunities available in Brooklyn of New York City.

 

Our dedicated team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health provides coordinated care using the best clinical practices and tools to manage patient health. We provide the full spectrum of care for children and adults. Because we are part of the largest public health care system in the country, we can provide easy referrals to a vast network of hospitals, home care services, nursing homes and specialty care providers across the city. 

 

This position is responsible for Gotham Health's New York Northern Brooklyn locations, including East New York, Bedford, Bushwick Communicare, Greenpoint, Fort Greene, Sumner, Williamsburg, Brownsville, Crown Heights, Jonathan Williams, and Homecrest.

Responsibilities

  • Create clinical strategy for ambulatory care transformation across the overseen Region of sites (Brooklyn)
  • Integrate and implement evidence-based clinical practices
  • Provide direct patient care at a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week
  • Quality analytics, clinical reporting, and risk management
  • Assessment of clinical providers
  • Finance, budget, and reimbursements
  • Recruitment strategies
  • Travel to sites within the Brooklyn Region will be required
  • 70% Administrative and 30% Clinical responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Medical Doctorate
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or equivalent care of specialization
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New York
  • Masters degree with a specialization in Health Care Administration, Administrative Medicine or in Public Health from an accredited college or university
  • Ten (10) years of full-time paid clinical experience, including five (5) years of supervisory experience

  • An equivalent combination of training, education and experience in related fields and educational disciplines
  • Knowledge of business and human resources administration principles, faculty practice and finance
  • Experience with FQHC, preferred
  • Knowledge of EPIC Electronic medical records
