Farbod Raiszadeh, M.D., Ph.D., FACC

Farbod Raiszadeh is a board-certified cardiologist and physician-investigator at Harlem Hospital Center in New York where he practices clinical cardiology in the inpatient and outpatient settings and teaches medical students and internal medicine. He holds a PhD degree in nutritional epidemiology from Cornell University, and has advanced training in electrophysiology (the field of heart rhythm disorders) from Montefiore Medical Center.

He serves as the Director of Performance Improvement and QI at the Department of Medicine at Harlem Hospital Center, and in that role, provides consultations to different health care providers in the design and implementation of quality improvement projects. He directs a research group focusing on Congestive Heart Failure and has mentored pre-medical, medical, and residency-level young investigators toward their career goals in medicine. Since the emergence of NYC as one of the first epicenters of the COVID-19 pandemic in the US, he has run multiple COVID-19 clinical trials at Harlem Hospital as a principal investigator.
