NEW YORK, NY (March 3, 2023)—Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY) is proud to announce new appointments to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. The new leadership appointments include Dr. Jeremy Sperling, PAGNY Board President, and Dr. Warren Seigel, PAGNY Board Treasurer.

Dr. Jeremy Sperling, PAGNY Board President

Jeremy Sperling, MD, is the Chair of Emergency Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. He is an associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the co-chair of the NYC Health + Hospitals Emergency Medicine Council.

Dr. Sperling replaces long time Board President, Dr. Bijan Safai who has lead the PAGNY Board of Directors since its inception 11 years ago. “It’s an honor to take the place of Dr. Safai,” said Dr. Sperling. “His unwavering commitment and dedication to the PAGNY organization over the last 10 years is unmatched. I know I speak for our entire board when I thank him for his leadership to PAGNY.”

In his upcoming time as Board President, Dr. Sperling intends to focus on leading the way for clinical efficiency, innovation, and the evolution of healthcare delivery in New York City.

Dr. Warren Seigel, PAGNY Board Treasurer

Warren Seigel, MBA, FAAP, is the Chairman of Pediatrics at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn and has been treating kids for the past 30 years. After graduating from Adelphi University in 1978, he earned his MD from Universidad CETEC in the Dominican Republic and returned to his native New York for his residency and fellowship at The Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn. Over the course of Dr. Seigel’s distinguished career, he has served as the AAP District II Chair representing New York State and has testified before Congress on universal access to comprehensive health care. Board certified in Adolescent Medicine, Dr. Seigel has published dozens of articles on adolescent medicine and co-authored the 2011 AAP policy Male Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Care.

Dr. Seigel is also the past president of New York Chapter 2 and has served on the AAP Section on Adolescent Health Executive Committee and Committee on Adolescence.
