Description
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for a Surgical Department Coordinator at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi remains a respected leader in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:
- Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with physicians, leadership, patients, clinical staff, administrative personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and appropriately escalate operational concerns.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Chief of Service and assigned Surgery Division.
- Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities of the service and assist in maintaining efficient office, clinical, and program workflows.
- Serve as an administrative liaison among the Chief of Service, physicians, patients, clinical staff, departmental leadership, and other hospital Departments.
Qualifications
- Prior administrative experience in a healthcare or clinical environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Epic preferred.
