Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding One Outpatient Psychiatrist (SUD) to the group at Cumberland/Gotham. The Center of Excellence is/are part of the NYC Health + Hospitals Gotham Health Clinics (NYC H+H). The goal of this community-based practice is to provide outpatient services to patients at high risk of contracting Covid-19, as well as short- and long-term follow-up care for those recovering from the disease. Preliminary evidence links Covid-19 to potential heart damage, lung injuries, blood clots, and mental health conditions.

Opportunity Details

  • Evaluation, treatment and provision of direct care to patients in the clinic setting
  • Provide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team as needed
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality management projects as assigned
  • Conduct history and physical examination to include mental health examinations, intake assessments, substance use disorders assessments and suicide risk evaluations.
  • Provide treatment for patients with co-occurring SUD and general mental health disorders in an outpatient setting
  • Experience with the full range of medication assisted treatment (MAT) options, including  for substance use disorder
  • Opioid use disorders and treatment with buprenorphine in its various forms

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Active, unrestricted NYS License
  • Active DEA Waiver
  • Active X-Waiver preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Familiarity with high-risk patients and cultural sensitivity in community settings
  • Must be skilled in psychopharmacology

  • Annual Base Salary Range: $236,900 (board eligible) - $247,200 (board certified)
