Description
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Occupational Therapist (Per Diem) to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem Hospital. Harlem Hospital is the largest hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan. Harlem Hospital is recognized for providing centers of excellence in the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Opportunity Details:
- The Department is part of a 280-bed acute care facility that includes the ICU, BICU, NICU, PICU, CCU, step-down floors, and ambulatory services.
- Treats patients on the acute and/or ambulatory services.
- Assists with maintaining treatment equipment and ensuring a safe environment for the patients.
- Maintains accurate record of patient evaluations, progress, recommendations, and goals.
- Supervises student interns and volunteers as assigned.
- Assists the supervisor or chief in preparing daily stats.
- Participates in the clinical education program for student therapists by mentoring a student intern.
- Educates patient and/or family regarding the occupational therapy aspects of diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis in an appropriate manner.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy program with a BS or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Current NYS License
- Pediatric or ICU experience a plus
Hourly Rate = $65* per hour
