Description
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Lead Radiologic Technologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:
- Supervises the delivery of radiological services, in accordance with established standards and procedures, for the service area or unit.
- Recommends changes and improvements relating to the delivery of radiological services.
- Participates in the development of training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary personnel, and allied health care professionals. Demonstrates new or revised techniques, procedures, and equipment.
- May perform radiologic procedures, as required.
- Performs special procedures, including diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., CT, MRI, and Mammography).
- Participates in quality assurance activities, including coordination, control, and maintenance of technical equipment.
- Participates in and coordinates procurement and storage of supplies and makes recommendations regarding supply and equipment needs.
- Performs research and participates in special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of service.
Qualifications
- Valid license and current Radiologic Technologist registration issued by the NYSDOH.
- Two years of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with lower Assignment Levels, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
- Assignment Level IV.
