Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a CRNA to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

  • Anesthesiology services provided include obstetrical, general and regional anesthesia as well as emergency and trauma anesthesia
  • The CRNA will have the unique opportunity to practice in a wide variety of cases including Obstetrics and to work with a large team of anesthesiologists and CRNA’s
  • The work hours are flexible, and a wide variety of shifts are available for the right candidates
  • The work culture is supportive, with the latest equipment and safety a top priority
  • CRNA to MD is 1:1 ratio
  • Under physician supervision, with latitude for individual professional judgement
  • Responds to calls outside of the Operating Room for resuscitative measures, and pain management
  • Capable of interviewing patients for pre-operative assessment & evaluation, select the anesthetic agent, technique, and the use of all anesthesia-related drugs appropriate to the individual patient
  • Manages the anesthesia process which includes the induction, maintenance and the emergence from anesthesia
  • Capable of setting up and using all equipment, available in the Operating Room and the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), used for the management of anesthesia and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Responds to calls outside the Operating Room for endotracheal intubation, cardioversions, conscious sedation, and participates in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
  • Responsible for preparation, and daily maintenance & operation of anesthetic equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of anesthetic medications and supplies
