Overview
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is excited to announce the opening of an on call Anesthesiologist - Obstetrics to the Anesthesia group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. You will join a united, well-organized, and friendly Department of Anesthesiology with solid and engaged leadership, exceptional interpersonal dynamics, high morale, excellent employee satisfaction, and a team approach to problem-solving and emergency response. We practice an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating the perioperative process, in close friendly collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff. Our Department is equipted with all required modern equipment for the safest practice of Anesthesia, including Video-Laryngoscopy, 2 SonoSite Ultrasound Machines for Vascular Cannulation and Regional Anesthesia, 2 Ambu FOB Systems with disposal scopes used in Thoracic Anesthesia and Difficult Airway management, FloTrack System for intraoperative hemodynamic management, and AccuView vein finding system. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards and to provide its staff with teaching and research opportunities and the chance to work with medical students, residents and fellows very closely.

Opportunity Details
- Pain management: Providing pain management for both complicated and uncomplicated pregnancies. This includes managing pain during vaginal deliveries.
- Anesthesia: Administering anesthesia for cesarean sections and other maternal and fetal procedures.

Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
- Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus
- New graduates are welcome!
- An active NYS License is required
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $390,000* (board eligible); $400,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $568,500** (board eligible) and $578,500** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
