PAGNY announced that Richard E. Schriner and Bhaskar Sahni were named Directors of Affiliation on November 23rd:
Richard E. Schriner
Richard E. Schriner has been promoted to Director of Affiliation at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem.
Previously, Mr. Schriner was the Human Resources Director for PAGNY at Harlem Hospital, where he gained extensive experience in recruiting, employee/management relations, contract negotiations, union grievance resolutions, and training programs. He is committed to ensuring that our PAGNY members at Harlem Hospital work as an effective, unified team.
His comprehensive duties at PAGNY include active roles in finance, payroll, administrative management, litigation, compliance guidelines, as well as recruitment and employee review. Previously, he served as a Human Resources manager at both Coventry Health Care of Pennsylvania and Filene’s/Kaufmann’s Department Stores in Pittsburgh. Mr. Schriner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Robert Morris University, where he majored in economics and minored in international studies.
Bhaskar Sahni, formerly of Phycare Solutions in the Bronx, has joined the PAGNY family as the Director of Affiliation at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. A seasoned professional with more than eight years of healthcare experience, Mr. Sahni is skilled in revenue cycle management, operations and financial analysis and has a wide range of expertise from both a professional and creative perspective. As the Manager of Operations for Phycare Solutions, Mr. Sahni helped increase revenue at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln by $3.5 million within two years.
Mr. Sahni is known for his ability to create databases, detect discrepancies and keep senior management informed about invoices, contracts, payroll, collections and general productivity. One of his recent accomplishments was establishment of a productivity-based bonus model that has been implemented in two teaching hospitals — NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan – that has boosted efficiency. Mr. Sahni holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from CUNY Baruch College, where he majored in finance and minored in mathematics.
