PAGNY is committed to promoting scholarly activities and enhancing faculty participation in biomedical research. To further this goal, the PAGNY Research Education and Training Committee was created with leaders and researchers from PAGNY-affiliated facilities. The aims of the committee include:
Engaging faculty in biomedical research
Developing collaboration across PAGNY institutions within NYC H+H
Mentoring faculty in clinical research
Developing a support infrastructure for grant-funded research and research methods, data collection and publication of results
Providing a forum to present the research findings
Partnering with educational institutions.
To promote research at PAGNY, the Research Committee has scheduled the First Annual PAGNY Faculty Research Day for May 4th at the New York Academy of Medicine. The purpose of the research day will be to promote the sharing of knowledge and information by researchers, to provoke scientific discussions, and to foster collaborations among faculty from the PAGNY facilities.
