Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. Under the direction of the Chief of Orthopedics work as the primary health care provider in collaborating with a licensed physician. Perform physical examinations, obtain medical histories, records pertinent data as required, arranges for tests as necessary, performs rounds, transcribes and executes specific orders, obtains appropriate authorization forms, and writes and signs preliminary discharge summaries. Performs basic/advanced life support. Efficiently assist any covering physician with surgery-related cases in the Operating Room or minor procedures as needed. performs duties that are required to meet CMS and NYS regulatory guidelines for patient management. Ability to care for pre and post operative patients on floor. Ability to respond to trauma consults in the ED. Be familiar with fracture reductions (splinting and casting) Be able to assist in OR. Willing to train.
