NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx handle more than 156,000 outpatient visits, more than 50,000 emergency room visits and more than 7,500 admissions annually in the 232-bed facility. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with theJames J. Peters VA Medical Center.

• The Speech & Language Pathologist assesses/evaluates, plans, implements, and provides individual patient care according to professional standards and departmental policies and procedures for swallowing, speech, language, voice and cognitive-linguistic impairments
• Adult inpatient/outpatient and pediatric inpatient/outpatient consultation and treatment service
• Acute care, acute rehab and Outpatients all serviced
• Support for neonatal feeding and swallowing (NICU)
• Head and Neck Clinic, voice, and swallowing disorders in collaboration with ENT
• Stroke Center support
• Tracheotomy and ventilator care 

• MBSS and/or FEES experience preferred
• Master’s Degree related to communication disorders for Speech & Language Pathology from an accredited academic program
• Successful completion of a clinical fellowship (CF)
• Achieved Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech- Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Maintains active New York State licensure in Speech Language Pathology
• One year of professional experience within the last three years in the medical setting of Speech-Language Pathology.
