Description
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for an Residency Assistant Coordinator at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, located on First Avenue & 97th Street in Manhattan, accommodate over 396,978 outpatient visits, nearly 38,252 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with New York Medical College.

Under the supervision of the GME/Residency Supervisor, and with oversight by the Chief Medical Officer, provides administrative support for the daily operations of the Office of Graduate Medical Education.
- Successfully completes the mandatory three day H+H orientation.
- Adheres and conforms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Reviews and screens the credentials of all house staff and fellows prior to issuing contracts and maintains all files
- Prepares reports and data regarding House staff to H+H and NYMC as needed.
- Creates and maintains information needed to process requests for verification of residency training from outside institutions.
- Assists in maintaining H+H’s electronic audit system for monitoring compliance with Bell 405 regulations.
- Prepares required forms for house staff in need of visa’s issued by the Exchange Visitor’s Program.
- Maintains New Innovations database delineating house staff and fellows clinical privileges.
- Types office correspondence and maintains files.
- Responds to queries from outside facilities regarding former House staff.
- Responsible for recording and editing GME Committee minutes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Computer Literate in Microsoft Office and relevant databases.
- Strong organizational skills required
