In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan our teams provide care for over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with NewYork Medical College.
Responsibilities:
PAGNY Metropolitan is hiring a full time Physician Assistant in the Emergency Medicine Department.
Duties Include: - Performing history and physical examinations - Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments - Developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs and other therapies as needed - Making referrals as necessary, consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate - Maintaining patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program - BLS/ACLS certification - NYS License Required - NCCPA Certification Required - Cultural sensitivity to a diverse and under-served patient population - Must have proven ability to work in a team environment
