Employed by PAGNY for NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health (formerly Coney Island Hospital), located in Southern Brooklyn, accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
We are currently searching for a dynamic Neurologist to join our outstanding team as our Division Chief. This position will be a mix of clinical and administrative/leadership + teaching medical students and residents. South Brooklyn Health, is currently undergoing an expansion, including the completion of an 11-story tower. We are working towards a certified stroke center, therefore, our candidate must have prior stroke experience.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology
- Current NYS license (or the ability to obtain one)
- Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience post-fellowship
- Prior leadership/teaching experience
- Desire and passion to work with the underserved
